TV's 'GETAWAY' and KELLY LANDRY CHOOSE THE OBSERVATORY

Ricardoes Tomatoes at Blackmans Point is sprucing up with extra care in preparation for a coming visit by TV's Getaway holiday program.

Popular presenter Kelly Landry and a production crew of four will film at Ricardoes later this month and feature the farm gate experience to the program's national audience.

The team will spend only two nights in the region, staying at the Observatory Hotel at Town Beach while in Port Macquarie before moving on to Crescent Head.

"Getaway tells me they will be visiting Ricardoes as one of only three attractions they have time to cover while they're on the Mid-North Coast this time", said Susie Boswell of Port Macquarie Public Relations, who handles PR for Ricardoes.

"So we're going all out at Ricardoes to be good ambassadors for the Greater Port Macquarie area as a whole. Getaway has been kind to this area in the past and we want to sustain their enthusiasm for

our natural environment and wholesome attractions.

"With all of Australia, and the world, to cover, it's a competitive business to win a spot on Getaway and a real boost our entire local tourism effort."
